Describing service this month might be a bit difficult because it was unique in its own way  such that even those who were in service lacked words to properly explain how they felt. It was like a well prepared three course meal with desserts and appetizers duly served; In fact we can describe it thus “...HE prepared a table before us…” It was indeed a blessed table. The anniversary celebration in combo with the monthly healing service was awesome. We had a perfect blend of traditional old school songs expertly delivered by the Jubilee Voices. These songs appealed not only to the older generation but was appreciated by the younger generation. Their ministration in songs took the older generation down memory lane as they reminisced on God’s faithfulness at the inception of the Ministry while it also stirred the hearts of the younger generation for the task ahead.

In commemoration with the 44th Anniversary celebration, testimonies of God’s faithfulness upon the Ministry were heard, specifically how the Ministry had impacted the lives of her brethren. Amongst others, we heard the testimony of Bro. Otense Okon who was bound by the spirit of drunkenness and fornication. He was also known for heavy smoking and fighting with dangerous weapons. But God led him to a branch of the Ministry where he heard the word and was convicted of his sins. Another striking one was the testimony of Bro. Monday who was the head of a major cult group in the State but was miraculously delivered through the preaching of a Pastor in the Ministry. He narrated how he terrorized the community where he dwelt and even conscripted members of that community into the cult group (See website for a detailed account).

God’s word was brought to us by the International Director, Pst. Isaac Olori. “Give me this mountain” (Joshua 14: 6 - 13). While describing a mountain, he made it clear that some mountains can be a barrier to us nevertheless anything put on a mountain is solid and can withstand difficult situations. Also, a man who is on a mountain is set high above others and would see farther than one who is on a plain ground or valley. He was keen to point out that, whereas the valley and plain ground are always on the receiving end, the mountain usually gives out – it is what flows out from the mountain that reaches the valley and plain ground.

From his analysis, Caleb understood that God’s inheritance for him was the mountain and he went for it not minding the challenge, hence we must realize that, in difficult times as this, it is impossible to serve God with ease but we must stir up our spirit to take up challenges. It is important to note also that even though it took 45 years for God’s promise to be fulfilled in Caleb’s life, he did not lose hope. This shows that time cannot invalidate God’s word.

In receiving this promise, Caleb exhibited these seven attributes;

  1. He knew what God said about him (Verse 6). Even though the mountain was owned by giants he chose to believe God’s word.
  2. He wholly followed the Lord (Verse 7, 8): As he totally followed the Lord, he possessed another Spirit.
  3. He relied on God’s faithfulness (Verse 10)
  4. He was strong for war: Despite his age Caleb was strong because he enjoyed health as God promised in Exodus 15:26, Deuteronomy 7:15, Proverbs 4:20,22. Caleb was spiritually strong because he had a healthy relationship with God.
  5. He was a man of faith and courage.
  6. He depended on the power of God’s presence: We must depend on God in this challenging times (Zechariah 4:6).
  7. He obtained a blessing (Verse 13). Blessing means supernatural aid/ability as well as a divine empowerment. Caleb did not consider the fact that he might have been in the same age grade or older than Joshua, who was the leader of the Israelites at the time, rather he submitted himself to his leadership and received a blessing of him.

In conclusion, it is expedient we know that our Christian life should make us work and not remain at ease. We should, as well, seek out our responsibility in fulfilling the vision of GEWC.

Once again, we give thanks to God Almighty who has kept us for 44 years.

Next Healing service holds October 23rd, 2016. Join us live via our livestream channel or audio link .

It was an expression of God’s power and might as healing, deliverance, miracles and salvation were evident in the August Healing Service. Jubilee Voices reminded us that the source of our strength is God, as He gave us peace from all our storms and all we could do was lift our hands in Total Praise to Him. Indeed God’s presence was manifested mightily.

To recount a few of the testimonies, Sis Juliet from Nkpolu church testified how God troubled the heart of a person who stole money from her apartment, as she forgot to lock her apartment when she left for the last healing service. This fellow was left without peace until he confessed his fault and returned the money. Also, Pst. Ikedichi and family reverenced God for delivering them from death.  First from a road accident which would have claimed the lives of the entire family. In his words, “…the accident was so fatal that it affected several other cars on the road, and I could barely make it out the driver’s seat but none of us was hurt”.  Secondly was the deliverance of one of his sons, who at the last minute, decided not to join a friend’s car. That car was involved in a ghastly accident which claimed the life of one of its passengers.

God’s servant, Pastor Isaac Olori, gave the message “Our New Covenant right” (Mark 7:24-30). He was keen to point out the difference between the Old and the New Covenant, stating that the Old Covenant was made with the Jews and as a result, God had a special relationship with the Jews till date. However, the New Covenant had no disparity between Jews and Gentiles, as it was an open covenant that gave all men access to God, if they confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This covenant was more special than the old covenant.

To buttress his point, he used the Greek woman from our main text as case study and in his highlights, stated the following points;

1.       The woman knew the exact problem of her child and thus showed utmost concern about this situation.

2.       Though she knew what the problem was, she had no access to the power that could proffer solution to her daughter’s condition because she operated in the Old Covenant.

3.       She was met with several hindrances to her breakthrough, ranging from her status (being a Greek), to Jesus not saying a word to her despite her plea, and having no advocate to intercede on her behalf. However, she did not let these stop her.

4.       She exhibited sincere brokenness, which is a sacrifice God cannot overlook – this was the foundation she laid that brought Jesus’s attention to her. She as well exhibited humility, perseverance and intercession that made her receive her miracle.

Hence it is worthy to note the following lessons from this sermon;

1.       As the words of the woman took Jesus’s attention to her, we must be careful of the words we speak, as they can hinder or hasten our blessings.

2.       As the woman exhibited humility, despite Jesus’s words to her, we must do same, else as a result of pride we might lose out on our miracle.

3.       We must not be deterred by difficult situations as God uses those difficult situations to stir us up in study of His word and prayer, so we may grow in Him.

4.       God’s Spirit cannot dwell in a person alongside an unclean spirit, hence every unclean and evil spirit must be cast out.

5.       Unlike the Old Covenant which gave the Jews access to limited answers, the New Covenant gives us unlimited access to answers.

6.       Unlike the old covenant, the New Covenant gives us access to, not only receive healing and deliverance but also to declare healing, deliverance to others.

7.       Jesus declaring the word of faith for the woman’s daughter to be healed, shows that God does not have a fixed pattern of doing any miracle neither is distance a barrier to Him.

My name is Brother Godspower Harry from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I have been hearing of the Church, Greater Evangelism World Crusade, since I was a child but had no interest in being a part of the Ministry or any other church. However, after my experience, I now believe God has a plan for my life. My experience was an eye opener to the antiques of the wicked and I share it to the glory of God.

In the month of May, I rented an apartment in Borikiri, Port Harcourt but was hindered from moving in, as the old tenants refused to vacate the residence. After several pleas on my part and refusal on theirs, I decided to forcefully evict them. This was with intense confrontation on their part, as one of the brothers threatened me saying I will have no peace as I stay in that apartment since they left unhappily. This statement got to me and I hit him twice with my hands. This action was followed by a threat that I would see what would happen to me. I took this threat casually since I believed nothing of those sort.

Two days later, I woke up at about 2:00am to use the convenience and found out, I could not move my right hand and left leg. My situation got worse as the day went by, and I sought help from various sources. This included both traditional and orthodox means. Some gave me traditional oil called “Ojuku Oil”, others anointed oil, some Pastors even insisted I payed money before attending to me, one even told me not to sleep in that house again yet my situation only grew worse. I went to several places seeking help, until a friend of mine attending GEWC, advised me to stop moving from place to place seeking solution, and then brought me to the resident Pastor of GEWC, Club Road Branch Port Harcourt, the branch I now attend.

This Pastor counseled and prayed with me. He told me the dangers of not being born again and I wept sore remembering what I had done in my past. He prayed with me and God miraculously healed me; the hand which had swollen began to reduce. Also, I began to sleep peacefully in my house after he prayed for the apartment and dedicated my family and I to God. He however instructed me to ensure that I am always in right standing with God because the enemy will strike again.

The enemy did strike again, and this time, it was worse than the first. I realized I could no longer excrete. Even when I did, it could be measured by a single teaspoon. The discomfort I felt was unbearable. I was referred to a medical centre where I was told that a catheter will be passed through my organs to aid excretion. I hated this idea, since I felt it was for the aged. For weeks I wept about my condition, and decided to call this my friend who had taken me to GEWC. He was more than a brother to me, he supported me through this phase, financially and otherwise, as I had to stop work because of my condition. During one of his visits, he called his Pastor who prayed for me over the phone, and when the minister was done, he also prayed with me and I vomited profusely. He told me to prepare, as he would take me for the Central Healing Service that Sunday, June 19, 2016 holding at the World headquarters located in Rukpokwu. I was hesitant because the doctors had placed me on an hourly injection and my condition made me visit the rest room almost every second, which was quite embarrassing, so I did not want to disgrace myself in church. Despite the situation, he was persistent and even decided to accompany me to take my medication before heading to the Church that Sunday, and he did.

Immediately we got to the temple, the first miracle that took place was this; for the period I sat in church, I did not feel like using the rest room, as I was calm like never before. Then after the message by God’s servant, Pastor Isaac Olori, an altar call was made for those who wanted to surrender their lives to Christ. I came and surrendered my life to Christ. There, before the altar, I wept sore, remembering all my sins and then asked God to forgive me.

Thereafter, it was time for the healing prayers and we all were asked to come out.  All I wanted was to get to the front of the altar but before I could make my way to the altar, the place was filled. God’s servant asked us to pray for ourselves while he concluded the prayers. As he rounded off his prayers, immediately we all shouted the last Amen, my stomach churned and I immediately felt the need to use the rest room. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me to locate the convenience, when I inquired of its location I realized it was too far. I found a spot and passed out urine freely like never before. When I gained a bit of control, I walked to the convenience and passed out faeces freely to my amazement and till date, I excrete as a normal person.

Indeed it was God who delivered me and I give all glory to Him.

"A Basket of Miracles”: that was God's proclamation of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade headquarters through His servant, Apostle G. D. Numbere (Founding father, GEWC). The testimonies in the July 2016 Healing Service confirms this fact once again.

Bro. Godspower Harry’s (Read his testimony here) and Sis Lucy Albert, whose daughter was medically diagnosed to have stones, fibroid and a foetus in her womb in 2014, were clear evidence of His abiding presence.  Sis Lucy, whose daughter had experienced severe pain as a result of the stones and fibroid in her womb, chose to believe God’s word concerning the temple and brought her daughter to the temple to pray concerning the situation. Miraculously, God took away the stones and fibroid while the baby remained safe. It might interest you to know that this baby weighed 4.5kg at delivery and the mother did not have surgery.

Through song ministration, the Jubilee Voices led us into God’s presence as we worshiped Him, acknowledging Him to be our shield from all the threats of the enemy. God’s word was quick and powerful, brought to us through the instrumentality of His servant, Pst. Isaac Olori who considered Jesus: Our Good Samaritan with Luke 10:25-37 as text.This sermon exposed the relevance of God’s word to our well-being as Christians, and the emptiness in the heart of men, as many interpret God’s word to justify their selfish desires. This was the case of the Lawyer, who posed a question to Christ just to test Him. Nevertheless, we see Christ, ignoring his intent, but critically explaining the need for eternal life. His explanation revealed that personal study and understanding of God’s word is key to eternal life and our relationship with God. Hence, if you lack the revelation of God’s word, you lack the understanding of eternal life, as eternal/abundant life comes by an increase in the knowledge of God after being born again.

The second part of this message took its bearing from the question of the Lawyer - "Who is my neighbour?" Jesus, using the story of the Good Samaritan highlighted that the rift between the Jews and Samaritans did not hinder the Good Samaritan from rendering aid to the wounded fellow, neither did he see his own journey as more important than the man lying helpless as a result of the robbery attack. Pastor Isaac Olori highlighted that thieves in this context, could signify the enemy who has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), as a lot of persons have been beaten down by the enemy with sinful lifestyles and good virtues taken away.

Although it was the place of the Priest and Levite to render help to this helpless man following their position in society but they neglected him and went about their responsibilities. He further highlighted that these two (Priest and Levite) represent "Religion" and "Law", which have not perfectly aided the well-being of man. The Good Samaritan then represents “Grace” because he had compassion which the thieves, Priest and Levite did not have.

Hence, like the Good Samaritan, Jesus was moved with compassion and so gave Himself as a complete sacrifice for us. He is also willing to suspend anything to reach us. Also, like the Samaritan paid the bills of the wounded man, Jesus paid more than our debt as He purchased us with a priceless price, which is His blood, and deposited His Spirit inside of us (1 Corinthians 5:5) which is a seal of His ownership, hence we are untouchable.

Finally, we trust God to reveal Himself to you as you spend time to study His word.

As usual, service was characterized by God's awesome presence from its inception till finish. We were all astonished by several testimonies wrought by God in the previous service as well as during the Easter Retreat, some of which were, the miraculous tooth extraction of Bro. Philip of Ogbum-nu-abali Church.

The 2016 May Healing Service held on 22nd May 2016 at the Greater Evangelism World Crusade, World Headquarters, Rukpoku, Port Harcourt.

We were not done thanking God for His great works in the last Healing Service, only to be marvelled by greater things this Service. Just to recount a few: in the May Healing Service Sis. Destiny was healed of a chronic ulcer that had lasted for two years; God also delivered Sis. Leebari and her kids from stray bullets on their way from school. The armed robbers shot several bullets that smashed their car, but none touched them. God's divine provision was also evident in Sis Kelechi's testimony, as she had vowed towards the building project despite having no available finances, but God in HIS usual manner provided for her -  more than three times the amount she vowed.

The sermon this time  was "Persistent Faith", with Luke 18:1-8 as reference text. God’s word by His Servant, Pastor Isaac Olori, was clear and concise. One of the striking points during this sermon was that God searches for persistent faith in His children, therefore, if we would survive in our faith we should be persistent. He stressed that prayer must be accompanied by persistent faith.

Addressing “Die by Fire” prayers, he said, as Christians, our enemy is the Devil (1 Peter 5:8) and not our fellow human beings. Even though we understand that human beings can be agents of the devil, it is wrong doctrine to pray that any human being should die because they are only agents. Their death would not stop the work of the devil, who would only look for another agent to inhabit.

The widow, from our reference text, was faced with a difficult situation - her adversaries on one hand and the unkind judge on the other, but she did not deter. She chose to handle her situation by developing persistent faith, backed up with consistent prayer. She also handled her situation by developing a bold heart, refusing to be intimidated either by the nature of the judge nor her other adversaries. Finally, she was steadfast (1 Peter 5:9).

The sermon also brought to the fore the strategy of the enemy to use several challenges like bitterness/malice/anger, wrong doctrine via false churches and physical, to get us weary concerning the things of God. We must bear in mind that as Christians, our life is a battle and we must not take prayer, bible study, discipleship and other spiritual activities casually, lest we fall prey to the devil. It is pertinent that we know that the enemy tries to put fear in our heart in order to  intimidate us, but we must be bold and sound in our mind, believing God's word, to be able to confront him. The force of persistent faith and importunate prayer will stop every adamant situation and it takes a man who is steadfast in his faith to resist the devil.

We must consciously put away every form of fear and worry, because God who is our judge is kind, loving, forgiving, longsuffering and will avenge our case even though HE bears long with us.However, to qualify for HIS intervention in your situation you must be HIS own elect (Ephesians 1:4, 1 Peter 2:10) and cry to Him day and night being persistent in following Him.

Indeed God’s steadfastness cannot be fathomed. He blesses us with the blessings of His presence all the time that our mouth is constantly filled with testimonies and our hearts filled with gladness that cannot be properly expressed.
