The sound of rejoicing rang through Nigeria. Across major States in Nigeria like Abuja, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers State, the city was agog with shouts of joy as members of Greater Evangelism World Crusade took to the streets in celebration of God’s goodness.  The Mega Rally for the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Ministry took place on Sunday, 31st July 2022.

What a beautiful sight to behold. The old and young, male and female, dancing, rejoicing and walking through different parts of their States.

The troop in Port Harcourt was led by our father, Pastor Isaac Olori (International Director), Pastor Nonyem E. Numbere (President, Greater Women Fellowship International) and Pastor Euphemia Porbeni (the Mother of the Ministry). After going through the different districts, everyone gathered at Stadium Road, Port Harcourt where the massive crowd then proceeded to the International Headquarters, Rukpoku.

The 50th anniversary celebration is now in full swing. To God be the glory!

After crusading Port Harcourt and it’s suburbs, the Lord directed the Ministry of Greater Evangelism World Crusade to Ogoniland in Rivers State, Nigeria. That was in the 1970’s. As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, led by Pastor Isaac Olori (International Director, GEWC), we stormed the Ogoni axis with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The two-day crusade which was tagged “Bori Divine Visitation” and was held at the Birabi Memorial Grammar school, Bori from 8th to 9th July 2022. It was an exciting time in God’s presence, with soul lifting music and testimonies from the last “Divine Visitation” Crusade held in Ahoada.

Delivering the word on both days was Pastor Isaac Olori, and he spoke on the topic,  “Jesus the Divine Visitor” (Acts 38:10). He said, “When the divine visitor visits a man, He leaves evidence of His visit”. Jesus, the Divine visitor was present to heal, save and deliver as the testimonies came in their numbers.

Also in attendance was Pastor Dr. Mrs. Nonyem Numbere, the President, Greater Evangelism Women Fellowship International. While addressing the people, she stated that the Ogonis were first visited by God through the Ministry in the early 70s’. Although the people were hostile to the gospel, the power of God prevailed through His servant, Apostle G.D Numbere of blessed memory and his team, the kingdom of God was established in the Ogoni land, which led to the exile and abolishment of some satanic practices amongst the Ogoni people.

As part of the crusade, a free medical outreach was conducted for the members of the community, with basic medical care provided by healthcare professionals.

To the glory of God, the crusade ended with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, 10th July 2022 with great testimonies and salvation of souls.

It was June 1975 at Okwale, late at night, Numbere and his team were surrounded by an angry mob who were determined to kill them. But God showed up in an unexpected manner.

In the thick of the village mobbing and confusion, suddenly, they saw shining lights from the headlamps of an approaching vehicle, dispelling the darkness. The car drove straight into the arena and stopped, and out jumped three men, one of them a uniformed police officer!

50 years on, God has always shown up and still shows up on our behalf.

2 months to go!

The power and presence of God was manifest in the May Central Healing  Service which held on Sunday, 22nd May 2022. The atmosphere was filled with God’s presence and glory. We praised and worshiped God in truth and in spirit. The drama unit of the ministry presented a drama that was focused on laying our past, weaknesses, sins on the cross. God indeed touched the hearts of men as many rushed to give their lives to Christ.

God’s undisputed word was brought to us again by our father, the International Director Of Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Pastor Isaac Olori. He spoke on the topic “Don’t limit God” (Psalms 78:41-42). Pastor Isaac Olori explained that God has the ability and willingness to turn our situations around but we have a role in receiving the turn around. There is nothing too hard for God to do, our only problem is that we limit God.

Pastor Isaac Olori went further to state three ways by which we can limit God:

  1. Sin (Isaiah 59:1-2). The foundation of limiting God is sin.
  2. Unbelief (2 Kings 7:1-2). Doubt can limit God from working for us. He expounded that how God will do it is not our business, our business is to believe God, God’s own is to act.
  3. Capacity (2 Kings 4). Just like the woman acted accordingly with the Elisha’s instruction, meaning that she believed. She got blessed based on her capacity. If her capacity was more she would have received more. Another example is the stone on Lazarus’ grave which was a limitation, and Jesus asked that the stone be removed first.

He concluded by asking us to access ourselves in the areas we limit God and trust Him to do the impossible.

The Divine Visitation Crusade in Ahoada has successfully come to an end with testimonies of the great things God did. Day 2 started off with Free Medicals for the community where several Doctors worked as volunteers to do a quick check up on people. By evening, we gathered for another awesome time in God’s presence.

Ministering was Pastor Isaac Olori, International Director (GEWC). He spoke on the topic, Divine Rescue (Colossians 1:13 – 14).  He explained that rescue is freeing someone from a conferment, prison, danger, or rescuing a person by force. He said, that the account of our deliverance has been settled on the cross of Calvary. Hallelujah!

Pastor Isaac Olori taught that there are two powers at work in the world – The power of darkness and the power of light. The power of darkness refers to Satan and his agents (Ephesians 3:12) and sin is the binding force of this power. Therefore, to experience divine visitation, the root of sin must be dealt with.

The other power at work is The Power Of Light (Luke 11:22). He said that it is stronger than the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13). Jesus Christ is the personality  of the power of Light, He delivers from the power of darkness and you must meet him to be free (1 John 4:18).

The Crusade ended with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, 8th May 2022. Present were Pastor Isaac Olori and his wife, Pastor Mrs. Blessing Olori, Pastor Nonyem Numbere (President, GEWFI) and other ministers. We give God all the glory for all the souls that were saved, healings and deliverances which He did.

It was an early Sunday morning, 11th May 1969 at the University of Ife, Ibadan campus, but it was no ordinary Sunday morning. It was a day grace was released to the vile sinner, he was cleansed, made new and became a channel through whom God would save many more souls into His kingdom.

As we remember that fateful day, we celebrate God’s grace that still saves to the uttermost.

It is 3 months to the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Greater Evangelism World Crusade. What better way to celebrate than to go for a harvest of souls! After the successful crusade at Bayelsa, Nigeria, the Divine Visitation Crusade is currently ongoing in Ahoada, Rivers State.

The Divine Visitation Crusade (Ahoada) kicked off on Friday 6th of May 2022 with great jubilation and celebration. Present during were, Pastor Isaac Olori, International Director, GEWC and his wife, Pastor Mrs. Blessing Olori, Pastor Nonyem Numbere (President, GEWFI) and other ministers, Rev Dr. O. Frank (Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Ahoada) and his vice chairman and other guests.

Ministering was Evangelist Prince Nkiri on the topic “God shall surely visit you”(Genesis 50:23-26). He stated that to visit means to go and spend time with someone and also, a friend who visits is not always in a hurry to leave. He assured that God was going to visit and He would not be in a hurry to leave.  Speaking further, he said, just as Joseph was assured that God would visit the children of Israel, no matter how long, we also must have that assurance that God will visit us and our situation. Visitation changes story and when God visits a man his life changes. It is a time of victory (Acts 12:21-23)

The Result Of Divine Visitation

  • Salvation (Luke 19:1-9)
  • Restoration (Jeremiah 27:29)
  • Deliverance (acts 12:1-12)
  • Healing (John 5:9).

How To Provoke Divine Visitation

  • We must belong to God and be his people (2 Chronicles 7:14)
  • Humility

December 1976 in the remote island of Kula, while the crusaders preached from the courtyard, the evil king sat on his balcony, peering down and making invocations.
Little did he know that the Most High, the High and Lofty One was watching over them and frustrating his enchantments and plans.

50 years on and this Great God still watches over us! Hallelujah!

The day was 9th March 1973; the venue, a town hall in Port Harcourt.

As the Crusaders were questioned by the chiefs on their mission, the children ran around the hall clapping, dancing and singing the song of the Crusaders -

“Only Jesus Can Save, Only Jesus Can Save, Alleluia!”
