As part of Pastor Isaac Olori's (International Director, GEWC) itinerary for the year 2016, he and his team paid a maiden visit to the Churches in Abuja and its environs.

The International Director's entourage consisted of Evangelist Victor Ejimadu, the Chief Missions Coordinator, Evangelist Cletus Okpu, Superintendent State Minister, Bayelsa State and Pastor Festus Ediae, Vice Chairman Board of Trustees. This is part of his routine visits to have firsthand knowledge of status of the work in the area as well as strengthen the brethren.

It was a three-day visit running from 6th to 8th May, 2016. Five branches were visited and they include: Greater Evangelism World Crusade,

  1. Kaduna, Kaduna State
  2. Minna, Niger State
  3. Suleja, Niger State
  4. Mararaba, Nassarawa State
  5. Gwagwalada, Abuja
  6. Abuja Base church, Jahi, Abuja

The visit climaxed with the dedication of the GEWC Abuja Base Church, Jahi which was dedicated and commissioned officially on Sunday 8th May, 2016. The church which was divinely built in less than 2years contains a parsonage where the senior pastor resides.

Pastor (Barr.) Susan Patrick, the senior pastor and State Minister, Abuja expressed profound joy at the outcome of the visit. She did not fail to mention that the work in Abuja FCT and the suburbs was birthed almost a decade ago through GEWC Town Church, Port Harcourt, Pastor Reginald C. Nwokocha and his team of ministers almost a decade ago.

The churches were overwhelmed with joy at the visit of the International Director and his entourage. Although the churches in Abuja are faced with some challenges especially with the issue of a permanent church building, they have purposed in their hearts not to give up the race.
